TREE PLANTING PROJECTS
Global Cooling Collective is proud to have Trees for the Future as our tree planting partner. Trees for the Future is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the United States. Trees for the Future provides seeds, training and technical resources to families, communities and organizations interested in reforesting lands and maintaining sustainable agriculture practices. In thousands of villages, people are working together, planting fast growing, permanent beneficial trees. They are proving that devastated lands can be brought back to life. Featured Trees for the Future projects include:

ETHIOPIA
Once known as the Bread Basket of Africa, 30 years of unsustainable land use have left less than 3% of the country's once thriving forests. Today, reforestation efforts in Ethiopia plant fast growing, beneficial trees, such as Calliandra tree, that prevent soil erosion, rebuild water supplies and provided needed nutrients to the people and land.

HAITI
Trees for the Future is working with Partners of the Americas, Peace Corps volunteers, religious organizations, and local environmental groups in all regions of Haiti. Deforestation and soil degradation is rampant throughout the country, especially in the desolate central plateau.

PHILIPPINES
The eruption of Mt. Pinatubo deposited two billion tons of ash on land that had formerly been used for food production. Through tree plantings in the Zambales Mountains, water sources, soils, and forests are being revived.
